I have acted in this play three times, and I have directed this SOL version at two schools. Being the shortest in the series, it works wonderfully. The SOL version is just 54% of the Folio, shorter than Stratford, but longer than the Kenneth Branagh film. The guide is crammed with character and staging ideas for all scenes. Both times I staged it with a back wall, three simple archways and odd bits of furniture and props. We had a ball!
